Wisdom Inner Healing
Nurse Practitioner and Certified Psychedelic-Assisted Therapist
Peoria, AZ
My Path to Healing Work I am a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 25 years of experience in healthcare. My journey began in 1996, when I transitioned from working as an Emergency Medical Technician to nursing—starting as a nurse aide and eventually becoming a Nurse Practitioner. Over the years, my professional path has expanded to include extensive education and training in Psychedelics, Trauma-Informed Care, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Health Equity - Justice, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (JEDI), Mindfulness, Breathwork, and Somatic practices. These diverse lenses shape how I approach healing—honoring the connection between mind, body, and spirit, and integrating science with compassion. A Wounded Healer’s Perspective Psychedelic medicines have played a profound role in my own healing journey. Through these experiences, I’ve witnessed the deep potential for transformation and am passionate about offering these modalities as safe, supported tools for healing. As a self-identified wounded healer, I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience. I have survived childhood sexual trauma, navigated complex PTSD, eating disorder recovery, substance use, and severe depression and suicidality. These experiences allow me to meet others with empathy and authenticity. I don’t approach healing as a “fixing” process but as a compassionate partnership rooted in presence and understanding. I help you access your own inner healing intelligence. You are the real healer! Who I Am I identify as a queer, white human (she/they) and am dedicated to cultivating inclusive, affirming spaces for all. I have deep ties to and ongoing support for the LGBTQIA+, military, recovery, and substance use communities. Healing happens in relationship, and I believe everyone deserves care that honors the fullness of who they are. Education, Advocacy & Community Beyond clinical work, I am committed to education, advocacy, and expanding access to safe psychedelic care. I have developed and presented content on psychedelic medicines, ketamine therapy, antidepressant tapering, and related topics. I volunteer with: • Arizona & Southwest Psychedelic Societies – facilitating the Recovery Alliance group, facilitating integration circles, and community education • Billy’s Place – member at large Board of Directors • Decriminalize Nature Arizona – supporting community education and reform • Scottsdale Research Institute – assisting with psychedelic clinical trials and advocating for Right to Try legislation My career is devoted to helping build bridges between research, accessibility, and lived human experience. My Mission My mission is to help others reconnect with their inner healing intelligence and capacity for transformation. I aim to bridge science, spirituality, ceremony, and compassion supporting the innate healing potential that exists within every person. Healing is possible!
Preparation sessions support clients in clarifying intentions, assessing readiness, and understanding what to expect, while building emotional and practical supports before ketamine-assisted therapy or psychedelic experiences.
I offer psychedelic integration services that support clients in processing experiences, making meaning of insights, and applying them in ways that foster lasting emotional and psychological growth.
A psychedelic medicine medical evaluation includes a comprehensive review of medical and mental health history, current medications, and treatment goals to determine eligibility, ensure safe use of psychedelic medications, and support individualized care planning.
My ketamine therapy approach combines medical treatment with preparation and integration support, helping clients translate their experiences into sustainable growth and healing.

""Before my ketamine journey, I had an endless cycle of searching, stirring, and struggling to find internal peace. What I found through this experience was nothing short of life-changing. For the first time in my life, I felt a complete and intrinsic calm. Peace wasn’t just something I felt—now it was something I fully lived. Every part of me sourced a deeper resonating power. I didn’t know such restful contentment was even possible, or more so, so accessible to me, from me, and through me. The journey itself was cinematic and soul-stirring. I traveled across time, memory, and imagination. It was intimate and expansive all at once—lucid, wondrous, and strangely sane, even in its wildest visions. And through it all, I felt completely safe. I went into the experience a bit of nervous and slightly skeptic—even as a chronic self-helper, I didn’t know how it deeply it could or would help me. And as a non-esoteric atheist— I came out believing I had touched something eternal, something that transcended my old beliefs. Most importantly, my ketamine journey gave me a gift I didn’t even realize I had lost: self-trust. Since then, my life has shifted in ways I can hardly describe. My mind feels calm and grounded. My intuition is clear again, no longer drowned out by self-doubt or spiraling thoughts. I can think. I can breathe. I can move through life without the weight of the past pressing me down. There is hope again. And now, I have the power and chance to feel whole and alive again. And none of this would have been possible without Kari Roe. She is more than a guide—she is a calm and connected presence who holds space with wisdom, compassion, and understanding. Her tender words and serene soul created the safety I needed to go deep, and the support I needed to return changed. This was not just a treatment—it was a journey back to myself. A journey that gave me hope, peace, and the ability to trust my own life again. If you are considering this path, know this: it is beautiful, grounding, and transformative—and with Kari, you will be held with care every step of the way.""
